This place is bomb-diggity. Highly recommend! Came here multiple times with friends and loved it. Try everything.

Went with a friend and loved it! They have some contemporary takes on both fusion and traditional dishes. I tried the mushroom dish at my friends suggestion -- I'm not a huge mushroom guy -- but wow For mains absolutely try the Chili Crab. For any crab-lover this was amazing, rich, creamy, delicious. 5/5 definitely a step above our usual Wednesday night butter chicken!

We swung by Indian Accent to try the brunch menu. We had a prior reservation and were seated immediately. We started off with some complimentary blue cheese naan bites with spiced pumpkin soup. I am not a fan of blue cheese but the naan bites didn't taste very overpowering and the soup balanced out the taste well. We started with our first course wherein we ordered the sago pancake and the burrata chaat. The burrata chaat was out of this world, loved the soft burrata paired with the familiar chutneys and crunchy lotus root chips. The sago pancake was good too, with the butter on top and the whipped feta dressing, although I thought that the whipped feta was a bit overpowering. For our next course, we ordered the uttappam and the millet khichadi. Both were really good! Loved the buttery uttappam with the mushrooms stuffed inside and the khichdi was very comforting. We got the black dairy daal and black garlic naan as our first accompaniment and the chana masala stuffed kulcha as the second accompaniment. The black dairy daal was out of this world. So hearty and flavorful! The chana masala stuffed kulcha was also interesting. Overall, the food was great. The service was great too! Our server was very attentive and gave great suggestions. We always had our water glasses full too and they switched out the cutlery after every course. The ambience, however was very simple which is a pattern that I have noticed amongst Michelin star Indian restaurants in general and I find that odd. I honestly thought the bathroom was really well decorated though :p I loved my experience here but I didn't really feel like I was dining at a Michelin star restaurant, it felt like I was at an upscale Indian restaurant.

Excellent Spot. Very interesting take on the Indian cuisine. Although some dishes left me scratching my head a little bit. We came here for a business lunch. The 3 course tasting is second to none. The atmosphere is very posh with coat check at the door and quiet service with all the servers doing everything quietly and precisely as if the well choreographed military operation. :) The dishes are very tasty but Sweet Pickle Pork Ribs although excellent puzzles me still. Had a 3 course: Sweet Pickle Pork Ribs, Baked Barramundi with side of Kashmiri Morel Pulao Barfi Treacle Tart. All melting on your tongue like the best dishes should.

We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday and picked the 3 course option, which was more than enough food. The ambience is nice and the service superb. I enjoyed the food as well, but noticed that I'm not the biggest fan of fusion dishes in general. They did have some fun options though!

Definitely one of my new favorite NYC spots. This place struck a perfect balance of Indian flavors while being creative with other fusions. The dal, the lamb, the tikka masala, the chaat, absolutely everything was perfect. Hugely recommended!

I can always appreciate good Indian food and can say we enjoyed our dinner here. We had reservation for a weekend dinner and service was overall friendly and helpful. We liked the food and the fine dining Indian cuisine. Lots of different flavors that came through the spices with each meal uniquely special and separate from another. Intimate spot that's dimly lit and definitely has that upscale restaurant energy. If you like Indian food, I'd say this place is worth a try for sure.

This was an interesting chance to try some fusion Indian food that's more aligned with western fine dining. My friends and I each had the three course lunch. All the dishes were tasty and beautifully presented. - First Course - Pao bhaji - incredible. The bread was fluffy and buttery with subtle herbal flavor, and the curry was warm and spicy. The ricotta vada added nice textural contrast. Shakarkhandi - subtle sweet and sour flavors with a starchy sweet potato, and nice crunch from the okra. I wasn't expecting this dish to be cold, but it was otherwise fine. Tofu vadai - a bit soft for my taste, but great presentation. Probably the best looking dish in my opinion. - Main Course - Potato kofta - the kofta have a breadcrumb coating which gives it a crispier texture than what you'd see at a typical Indian restaurant. The choice to serve it over khadi (sour yogurt based curry) instead of the standard cashew and cream based gravy was unexpected, but good. Uttapam - I'm vegetarian, so I didn't try this. - Side Dishes - Chana masala kulcha - probably my favorite part of the meal, even though it was just a side. The bread is fluffy and stuffed with a spicy, rich chana masala. The bread is hearty and can basically be eaten on its own. Don't miss it! Raita - more or less standard, though I've never seen avocado in raita before. Not bad, but not special. Sesame vegetables - a nice side dish, but nothing special. It's stir fried vegetables with a sesame paste based sauce. - Dessert - Doda barfi - absolutely delicious warm tart with heavy toffee like flavor, paired with a light ice cream and crunchy bits on top. This was a top contender for my favorite part of the meal as well and definitely stepped up the whole experience. Cheesecake and kheer - this was the dairy free dessert option. The flavors are nice and light, and nothing is too sweet. Banana sticky cake - a nice warm banana bread. The ice cream has a unique flavor from the jaggery, and I really enjoyed it. The restaurant was fantastic about handling dietary restrictions. After tax and tip, the meal worked out to about $68, which is worth it for the experience.

My post-birthday dinner spent with husband and daughter, was lovely. At 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, the dining room was quiet. By 9:00 the place was jumpin'. The menu is described as "inventive Indian cuisine using global ingredients and techniques." One can choose the three or four course prix fixe. We shared dishes, enabling us to sample so much more! It's important to savor each bite, and even with small portions we had leftovers. Everything, starting with the amuse bouche, was perfect. The only dish not as well-received, was the tenderloin. If vacillating about your main, go with the branzino. Indian Accent's wine list is 20+ pages. The sommelier, a lovely woman respectful of our budget, recommended a wonderful red. I'll add that everyone in the restaurant was gracious and helpful. Indian Accent isn't necessarily the best restaurant I've gone to, but a smidge under five stars, it's worthy of excellent reviews.

Flavorful and delicious food - more American / international forward taste with indian-inspired flavors. Portion sizes were on the smaller side but service was great and ambiance is perfect for a romantic date night or a work meeting.
